Ms. Medicine White Crow, MSc, (Comanche/Cherokee, She/Her,2S/IndigiQueer) was born on the Lummi reservation in Ferndale, Washington to relocated parents. Emma was raised with the indigenous values of giving, working collaboratively, listening. These values have directed her work. She has 25 plus years, of experience working in Tribal, rural, BIPOC, refugee/immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities on heath equity and social justice and environmental work. Currently working as a consultant with the Muckleshoot Tribe on a long term contract as a subject matter expert for the Health and Wellness, Behavioral Health and Elder in Home Support Services departments.

Governor Appointments: appointed to represent WA Governor and senior staff Represent the Director and Deputy on interdepartmental workgroups in agencies, CBO’s and other forums for Washington Governor as appointed Chair, Washington State Governors Interagency Coordinating Council on Health Disparities for 13 years, now Health Equity, and Washington Joint Partnership Committee on Juvenile Justice executive committee. Montana Department of Public Health including mentoring department directors to align work on health disparities, work on Amplify Montana initiative trainings for Tribal, BIPOC and Immigrant refugee to create partnership learning sessions in expanding Medicaid and other priorities needed such asfood deserts and nutritional food that is culturally appropriate. Currently a member of the Governors Alzheimer’sDisease Working Group, Long Term Services & Support sub-committee. Region X Health & Human Services RegionalHealth Disparities Council Peer elected Vice-Chair. Chair Diabetes/Obesity sub-committee. development of policies and approaches to a variety of issues with the agency’s senior leadership team and other internal and external partners. Identify and manage critical issues that have public and/or internal impact and require the attention of both Governor and senior staff including talking points for leadership to be well prepared and in possession of substantive materials and data required for meetings, conferences, and other scheduled internal and/or public events or presenter if needed.Health and Health Equity: Directed supported the development of effective work plans. Identify and implement standard work processes including managing the development of an internal and external communications strategy in maternal infant health, infant mortality, education, tribal program planning, infrastructure development, technical assistance, system creation, grant writing and management, and indigenous evaluation with American Indian and Alaska Native Communities including BIPOC Leadership support and mentoring including directing and support the development of effective work plans. Identify and implement standard work processes for OERSJ through the development of work tracking and reporting standards and processes by establishing policies and procedures with workgroups now standard standing committees within agencies.
